Cilentano Simplicity

Located just a few kilometres from Paestum and the seaside, away from it all, is this “complex” made up of two ancient-stone buildings that have been restored to their original splendour in strict compliance with regulations protecting the surrounding natural beauty spots of southern Italy. Off the beaten track and into the Mediterranean wilderness, you will find yourself in a natural haven with a touch of understated luxury. The property only has 4 rooms available and the two enchanting residences are surrounded by thick Mediterranean maquis composed of oaks, Holm -oaks, elm trees, myrtle, and juniper thickets: a natural mix of colours and perfumes that enhance the uncontaminated beauty of areas dearly loved by the ancient Greeks and Romans. The two structures are so perfectly integrated with the environment.  Just 50 yards from the main structure there is the swimming pool. The pool is located in a position with an exceptional panorama of Paestum and temples and in the distance the Amalfi coastline and the beautiful island of Capri. Part of its splendour is that it is surrounded by a typical Mediterranean landscape and guarantees tranquillity.

Beams and floors in artisan terra-cotta and ancient stone-like Pietra Calpazio of Capaccio give this gem a unique atmosphere that combines the charm of history with the latest in comfort. Essentiality and design are the main focus and all the rooms are equipped with :

  • air conditioning

  • heated floor

  • hydro-massage and hydro-sonic bathtubs

  • minibar

  • tv

  • safe

  • wifi

The bathrooms are mini-wellness areas where guests can relax in soothing hydro-massage and hydro-sonic bathtubs and dedicate themselves to body care and comfort. The unique effect of this perfect form of integration is that of virtually eliminating any barriers. In the living area, special emphasis is placed on essential elements, light, and nature with a view to enhancing wellness and comfort.

Get away from it all and enjoy the true meaning of simplicity. With only 4 rooms. Quote, reference 3789.

The Heart Of Val D'Orcia

A small cosy charming hotel in the heart of the Val d’Orcia. You can admire the city of Pienza from here.  Built in 1600, this country house has been restored to retain the ambiance and style of that period, with the maximum respect to the original and classic design of typical Tuscan farmhouses. The brand new suites furnished in elegant Tuscan style, the beamed roof, the parquet floor, and the ancient stone floors, are blessed by a spectacular view of one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. You have a choice of some great rooms and the spaces available to you are simply perfect.   A romantic internal Courtyard turned into an open-door living room, is between the two stone buildings; a panoramic heated pool and beside the flowered Pergola, complete the harmony of the outdoor.  All around the house is the garden rich with plants, bloomy flowerbeds, and cosy spots where you can enjoy the stunning views over the valley. A majestic Helm welcomes guests at the entrance of the property then cypresses, centuries-old olive trees, and fruit trees accompany guests towards the house.

There are 7 suites in total, one with a view over Pienza, another 2 looking onto the garden, while another over the pool, all taking advantage of the surroundings, perfumes, and views.

Surrounded by rose and lavender hedges, the heated and super panoramic swimming pool lays hidden behind the house. Mount Amiata dominates the front and the view of the city of Pienza and the mild hills of Tuscany surround the other part of the pool.  Breakfast in the summer is served under the shadow of a pergola and a romantic dinner for 2 can also be arranged here. Guests can also take advantage of the living room, where in the summer you are welcomed by the stone floor while in the cool winter evenings the grand fireplace enchants with its merry and authentic flame. The billiard corner enhances a lively but at the same time intimate atmosphere.

The dining room allows you to enjoy lunch or dinner.  Try their handmade Tuscan pasta or their Tagliata with rosemary, enjoyed with a glass of Brunello Montalcino. Simply charming and the perfect destination for a detoxification of the senses. Quote, reference 3936.

Lost In Abruzzo

Step into an imaginary landscape and discover a fortified medieval village. Located in the mountains of Abruzzo at 1250 metres above sea level, inside the Gran Sasso and Monti Della Laga National Park. This was an abandoned village which has now come back to its original glory and by staying here it will feel as though you are part of a village community.

The interior design of the rooms is inspired by pictures taken in Abruzzo in the 20s. To preserve the unity of the interior aesthetic-affective and avoid the over-use of contemporary elements, natural materials have been used and the original soul has been preserved, small windows, dim light, the uneven floors and the choice of single details, such as handmade soaps, made from olive oil. Each room is equipped with: Wool mattress placed on a wooden plank which is based on a wrought iron structure. Blankets with patterns from the regional tradition and spun on a Nineteenth Century loom, made of naturally dyed wool. Handmade soaps made with olive oil and beeswax through hot mixing method, without foaming agents and surfactants. Handcrafted candles. All the products that can be found in the rooms are made exclusively on site. With a range of different rooms from classic to executive and with a great restaurant on site. Simply magical.
